Collected in a gorgeous two-volume oversized slipcased hardcover is perhaps the most eagerly anticipated and memorable crossover of all time, as the Justice League of America unites with The Avengers. Superman, Batman, and the other members of the JLA join forces with Captain America, Iron Man, and the many other Avengers to fight a threat so immense it threatens two entire dimensions. The second hardcover in this deluxe set features art and articles chronicling this historic crossover--which has been over twenty years in the making. Average Rating:
![]() Rating: - The REAL Final CrisisThis book is pretty much as good as it gets for fans of old school, continuity-driven superhero comics. Unfortunately, its also that genre's epitaph. But what a way to go. The book's only weakness is the use of 90s versions of characters like Aquaman and Green Lantern, but don't worry, the classic versions at least pop in for an appearance here and there. Busiek and Perez have crafted a story that really made me feel like I did geeking out over superhero comics as a kid. These ARE the characters ... And on a scale of 1 - 5 (5 being best) 1. 4 for keeping my attention 2) 5 for art work 3) 3 for being to understand and follow the storyline 1. Despite mixed emotions the positive praise compelled me & it sure didn't let down. This is a tale of gigantically cosmic proportions & by right should be no less. Kurt Busiek weaves a mean action packed journey & George Perez' art has never looked so fantastic! You can tell Perez really put his all into this work as each panel is beautifully woven & the in your face splash scenes are rendered w/ a gracefulness that compliments ... Read More Rating: - DC & Marvel..Their Finest Moment! After the proposed project was delayed way back in the 1980's, the two major comicbook companies (DC & MARVEL) finally got their **** together 20+ years later, and the JLA/AVENGERS Cross-Over finally got off the ground. It was worth the wait because [they] made it into a "4-Issue Event" (in its initial release). Now it is published into trade paperback combining all four issues from the talents of Kurt Busiek/Writer & George Perez/Artist using the major characters of DC & Marvel. This is the most fun ...
