Captain Marvel produces real thrills 67 years after its release. - no bloomersI enjoyed this serial as a kid and as an adult. All of your reviews are right on target. As a kid what impressed me most was the power of a word, i.e., SHAZAM. As and adult the thing that impressed me the most was the lack of wrinkles in his suit...unlike Steve Reeves TV Superman...and this about 20 years before the invention of SPANDEX.

I would recommend that any fan of escapist cinema and classic movies see at least a couple of the chapters, since it is such a fine example of what a good serial could be.
