Editorial Review:

Product Description:
THE DARK KNIGHT MUST CONTEND WITH A MYSTERIOUS FEMALE VIGILANTE WHO EMULATES HIM, BUT TO A MORE RUTHLESS DEGREE.

Amazon.com:
Fans of the stylized Batman: The Animated Series, Batman Beyond, and their subsequent feature-length releases (Batman: Mask of the Phantasm) will be pleased to note that the same creative team responsible for those efforts have reunited for this action-filled adventure, which pits the Dark Knight against a fetching vigilante in Bat-gear. Kyra Sedgwick voices Batwoman, whose struggle to bring down the Penguin's illegal arms trade gets her in hot water with his hired muscle, Bane (Hector Elizondo), and prompts Batman (Kevin Conroy) to swing into action. Curt Geda's fast-paced, noir-influenced direction, a solid script by Michael Reaves that stays true to the comic book mythos, and a talented voice cast (which includes Kelly Ripa and David Ogden Stiers) help make Batwoman a welcome addition to the Batman DVD library. The Warner DVD's 45 minutes of extras include an original short ("Chase Me"), nine character bios, behind-the-scenes footage, an interview with Geda, and other audience-pleasing supplements. --Paul Gaita

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Fun watch, but nothing too special.
A new "hero" has arrived in Gotham, a reckless female vigilante bearing Batman's iconic cape and cowl (but with a dash of pink!). This "Batwoman" has both Gotham City's villains and the Dark Knight investigating her identity, until the crime-lords get so worried that they hire Bane to beef up their private security. Batman must find this masked heroine and stop her before the female vigilante's willingness to kill gets out of hand.

Mystery of the Batwoman does a great job at introducing ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - As good as the animated series
Another full-length Batman project from the Warner studios and it's as good as the show was.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Batman - Mystery of the Batwoman
It is consistant with the older Batman animation which is stylized but works well. The story was good as usual, and worth watching.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Batwoman Begins
Even though it might be considered the weaker of the original Batman: The Animated Series movie trilogy, Mystery Of The Batwoman is very unique for several reasons. One is that it was the very first made-for-video animated movie based on a DC Comics, which set the standard for the DC Universe line. It also was supposed to be the final regular title in the B:TAS storyline.

Set a little while after the end of Season 4 of the series, a new female vigilante called Batwoman is making things hectic ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Another great Batman option!
With a stack of DVDs two feet high you would not think our home needed another one - but obviously we did! My son requested this DVD for his birthday and was engrossed in it for hours! If you are a Batman fan - you will enjoy this well produced DVD.
